Supervisors

Greg Blum, Vice President of Operations

Greg began his aquatic career at the age of 17 as a Lifeguard at a local YMCA. While at the YMCA, he worked as a swim coach, swim instructor, shift supervisor, lifeguard instructor and Assistant Aquatics Director. After graduating from NC State University in 2008, Greg joined the Aquatic Management Group team in 2009. He began as a manager during AMG’s first summer and became AMG’s first full time team member as the Director of Aquatics in the fall of 2009. Greg is currently the Director of Staff Operations. In his current role, he oversees the recruitment, hiring, training and staffing of all our seasonal summer staff.

When Greg isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Brandon DeLello, Director of Aquatics

Brandon was originally born in Pembroke Pines, FL. In 1999 he moved to Wake Forest and has called North Carolina home since. He started working with Aquatic Management Group in the summer of 2011 as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor. In 2016, Brandon graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in Criminal Justice. During his time at ECU, he swam for the ECU Club Swim Team in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, both relays and 200 IM races. After graduation Brandon joined the AMG team as a Director of Aquatics.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, exercising and hanging out with friends.

Joe Berry, Director of Aquatics and Lead Field Supervisor

Joe was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2012, Joe joined the AMG team as a lifeguard at a pool in North Raleigh. He worked there during the summers as a lifeguard, assistant manager, swim instructor and swim coach for 6 years. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a degree in Recreation Management, he joined the AMG team as an intern during the summer of 2018. Upon completion of his internship, Joe joined the AMG team full-time as a Director of Aquatics.

In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with his friends, family, and girlfriend as well as visiting Boone to go hiking on the parkway and attending football games at App.

Michael Dunbar, Director of Aquatics

Mike grew up in Eastern North Carolina.  He spent his summers swimming in his aunt’s pool.  Michael came to Raleigh in 2000 to attend NC State.  After first pursuing an engineering degree and then changing majors, Mike graduated with a middle school science education degree in 2007.  Mike taught middle and high school for 10 years with Wake County Public Schools.

Mike has been with AMG since 2014.  He first managed a pool, then worked as a supervisor before returning to teaching.  Mike has taught lifeguard courses for AMG for 4 years.  Mike now serves as the Senior Director of Aquatics.  In addition to recruiting staff and managing contracts Mike also coordinates the lifeguard instruction program.

When he’s not working Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
