What are the requirements for each position at AMG?

Manager

  • Lifeguarding Certification – 2 years

  • National Swimming Pool Foundation: Certified Pool Operator Certification – 5 years

  • Wake County: Certified Pool Operator Certification – 5 years

Assistant Manager

  • Lifeguarding Certification – 2 years

  • National Swimming Pool Foundation: Certified Pool Operator Certification – 5 years

  • Wake County: Certified Pool Operator Certification – 5 years

Lifeguard

  • Must be at least 15 years of age

  • Lifeguarding Certification – 2 years

Pool Attendant

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • First Aid/CPR/AED – 2 years

Snack Bar Attendant

  • Must be at least 14 years of age

  • First Aid/CPR/AED – 2 years

Slide Attendant

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • First Aid/CPR/AED – 2 years

 

What does each Certification mean?

Lifeguarding (LG): This certification lasts for 2 years. Once your certification is nearing expiration, NOT after expiration, you are able to take a re-certification course that will extend your certification for another 2 years. Aquatic Management Group offers LG courses January – June for $295.00.

Lifeguard Recertification (LGR) : This course is for lifeguards who are nearing expiration with their American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification and would like to renew before expiration, We are unable to re-certify a Non-American Red Cross Certification (i.e. YMCA). Aquatic Management Group offers LGR courses January – June for $195.00.

NSPF CPO: National Swimming Pool Foundation – Certified Pool Operator. This certification lasts for 5 years and you can re-certify before your certification expires. Aquatic Management Group offers these in late spring/early summer for $80.00. If you choose to take the course online, you will have to complete the online portion and then attend a 3-hour review and testing session at our Main Office with a NSPF Certified Instructor. Wake County CPO: Wake County – Certified Pool Operator. This certification lasts for 5 years and you take this through Wake County in Downtown Raleigh. You will need to schedule it through the county. You are not able to re-certify; you must retake the exam again when you are nearing expiration. This course/exam is free. First Aid/CPR/AED (FA): This certification lasts for 2 years. You are not able to re-certify with this certification. You must retake the entire course per American Red Cross standards. Aquatic Management Group offers this course for $100.00.

 

What are the requirements for employment with AMG?

All Aquatic Management Group employees must have a good attitude, willingness to learn and adapt in new and sometimes stressful situations.

All Aquatic Management Group employees must have a completed employee packet which includes, but not limited to: W-4, NC-4, Seasonal Employment Pay Contract, I-9, two valid and current forms of ID, and a Medical Waiver. All of these documents are provided to you prior to your interview.

All Aquatic Management Group employees MUST have at least the required certifications for their hired position.

Where do I purchase a Uniform?

All uniforms are AVAILABLE for purchase online. Employees can purchase uniforms after their interviews.

Aquatic Management Group also opens for 2 Saturdays in late April as an open house. This is an opportunity to turn in any employee paperwork that you still have outstanding and pick-up a uniform.

 

What is Direct Deposit?

In order to enroll in Direct Deposit, you will need to obtain a Direct Deposit form from your bank. This form will include your ROUTING and ACCOUNTING NUMBER. In order to prevent payment errors, the form must have your banks letterhead. We do not accept hand written Direct Deposit Forms.
