Next Steps: lifeguard facility Manager
STEP ONE: Ensure paycom paperwork is complete and schedule on boarding appointment
Prior to your on-site training, it is required that all Paycom paperwork is completed, including your I-9 appointment (Onboarding Appointment). You have not secured your spot on your facility team until all paperwork is complete. You can even pick up your uniform when you verify your I-9, all in one trip.
Your facility manager will reach out to you to schedule on-site training with your facility team. If you have not completed paperwork, they won’t be able to contact you.
Paycom! Paycom! Paycom! (Sensing a theme?)
STEP TWO: Let’s get certified!
Your position requires two essential certifications to ensure the safe and smooth operation of your facility. Both certifications are offered to AMG Managers at no cost to you.
LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION
Our first and foremost core value is Safety; it’s the heart of what we do. Schedule your American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course as soon as possible to ensure work eligibility!
The course consists of two parts, Online Blending Learning and in-person instruction.
CERTIFIED POOL OPERATOR (CPO)
To ensure the smooth operation of your facility, you will need to obtain a National and Wake County Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification. All managers are required to obtain a CPO certification from:
Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA)[National Certification]
This certification is completed in 2 portions, online learning and then an online proctored exam.
To enroll in the online learning, click “Start PHTA certification below”
Wake County Environmental Services CPO Certification (For facilities that reside in Wake County Only)
This certification is for facilities that reside in Wake County Only
Managers should review the study guide below and then schedule in-person CPO exam by calling Wake County Environmental Services at 919.856.7400
STEP THREE: schedule your “More than a promise” (MTAP) Training with your facility supervisor
When your supervisor reaches out to you, work with them to schedule a date a time to complete on-site training. MTAP training is mandatory for work eligibility.
When: Your supervisor will reach out no less than 3 weeks prior to your pools opening date with lots of information, read it carefully and make sure to follow all instructions.
